Three years in the Łukasiewicz Research Network
On April 1, Łukasiewicz – PORT celebrates the third anniversary of joining the Łukasiewicz Research Network. We are the third-largest research network in Europe. We operate at the interface between science and business, offering comprehensive support to entrepreneurs.
The Łukasiewicz Research Network is a unique project on a national scale, established under the government’s Strategy for Responsible Development. It focuses its activities on planning and coordinating scientific research conducted in institutes belonging to the network and cooperation for business and supports the development of Polish companies.
Łukasiewicz works by the Science is Business model. As a result, it connects with business owners and offers solutions designed to help entrepreneurs with business operations and create innovative technologies.
The network includes 28 research institutes in 12 cities in Poland. Institutes specialize in, among others, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, electronics, electrical engineering, materials engineering, precision mechanics, metallurgy, optics, and aviation. Currently, the network employs about 8,000 employees, including 4,500 scientists.
