PORT Seminar Series: Dr Bjoern Sommer

The Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development invites you to a lecture by dr. Bjoern Sommer from the Royal College of Art in London. The meeting will take place on November 4, 2022 (Friday), as a part of the PORT Seminar Series cycle.

Dr. Sommer has an interdisciplinary background that includes computer science, visualization, and design. For over a decade, in the CELLmicrocosmos project, he has been developing approaches to explore biological data from multiple perspectives and in multiple dimensions from the mesoscopic to the molecular scale, including cell visualization, data integration, molecular modeling, and Voronoi-based visualization.

At Łukasiewicz – PORT, he will give a “Visual Analytics and Design for Bioinformatics” lecture.

The language of the lecture will be English. The entrance is free.

The prelection will be held on November 4, 2022, at 10.30 a.m. at Łukasiewicz – PORT (147 Stabłowicka Street, Wrocław, the assembly hall in building A, 1st floor).
