The Gardens of Experiences has launched

The research program of the PORT Technology Education Center – Gardens of Experiences started. The first workshops in educational laboratories are behind us. Thirty-six students from six selected secondary schools in Wrocław take part in the project organized by Łukasiewicz – PORT, the PORT Foundation, and the OSRAM company.

The idea behind the first Gardens of Experiences program is to explore knowledge through experience. During the workshop, high school students will have the opportunity to discover the secrets of science in the field of photonics and materials chemistry. The workshop method of work and independent experimentation under the watchful eye of qualified staff from our Institute is to help discover talents, develop interests, critical thinking skills, and draw conclusions.

Participants have a unique opportunity to feel like scientists. They learn how to create the science of the highest quality. Through a practical approach to the discussed issues, the organizers will show students what the research process looks like, encourage them to deepen their knowledge, explore, discover and ask questions. The answers to them will appear in the course of work in the educational laboratory created in cooperation with OSRAM, and the dominant method of work will be experiments.

The program includes eleven meetings. To participate in the first edition of the program, we invited students from secondary schools no. III, V, VII, XII, and XIV, and the EKOLA Bilingual Secondary School. Workshop participants will present the effects of several months of work in their schools and at the headquarters of Łukasiewicz – PORT.
