\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT is a modern research and development center based in Wroc\u0142aw and part of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network. As one of the largest research institutions in Poland, we focus on technological innovation and interdisciplinary scientific research that drives the development of new technologies \u2013 particularly in the fields of health, biotechnology, and materials engineering<\/b>.<\/p>

\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT comprises three research centers: the Population Diagnostics Center<\/a>, the Materials Science & Engineering Center<\/a>, and the P4Health Center<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>

Across 18 research groups, 159 scientists from Poland and abroad are currently carrying out over 50 research projects<\/a> with a total value exceeding PLN 270 million.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

The Director of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT is Prof. Jaros\u0142aw Bosy Jaros\u0142aw Bosy<\/b> – a scientist specializing in the precise processing of GNSS satellite data used for monitoring the Earth and atmosphere. He previously served as Vice-Rector and Rector of the Wroc\u0142aw University of Environmental and Life Sciences from 2016 to 2024.
<\/p>

Pawe\u0142 Kurant serves as Deputy Director for Finance and Operations, while Dr. habil. Joanna Cybi\u0144ska is the Director of Research and Development (R&D). <\/b> <\/p>

An Institute Council<\/b>, composed of representatives from academia, business, and public organizations, provides advisory and supervisory support to the Institute. Drawing on their extensive professional experience, the Council members help guide PORT toward achieving its strategic goals. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Virtual Research Institute<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Virtual Research Institute (WIB) is an innovative program supporting the development of medical biotechnology in Poland, managed by \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT. <\/span>Its mission is to fund research teams conducting projects with high commercialization potential, particularly in oncology and RNA-based therapies.<\/span><\/p>

The program offers up to 100% funding and support in commercializing research outcomes, fostering collaboration between scientific institutions and industry.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

At \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT, we don\u2019t just do science \u2013 we also work to make it more accessible and engaging for everyone. The Gardens of Experiences<\/b> are our \u201cspecial projects\u201d unit, running hands-on laboratory classes for schools and families, workshops for seniors and teachers, as well as day camps and educational field games. The activities organized by SON help build skills, connect generations, and demonstrate that science can be fascinating, understandable, and relevant to everyday life.
