Wroc\u0142aw will join the group of global host cities of the International \u03b3\u03b4 T Cell Conference. From <\/span><\/span>May 18 to 21, 2026,<\/span><\/span> the city will host the 12th edition of the leading international meeting for researchers studying <\/span>T <\/span>\u03b3\u03b4 cells<\/span> \u2014 immune cells with tremendous therapeutic potential.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The conference series was launched in 2004 in Denver, Colorado. Since then, the event has been held in various parts of the world, bringing together scientists and clinicians interested in \u03b3\u03b4 T cell biology and the role these cells play in immune responses. Recent editions have taken place in Lisbon and Toronto, among other locations, attracting more than 300 participants from around the globe.<\/p>

During the four-day meeting in Wroc\u0142aw, conference participants will present the latest research findings on the development and function of \u03b3\u03b4 T cells, immune responses to infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer immunotherapy. In keeping with the conference\u2019s tradition, many of the findings presented will be shared publicly for the first time.<\/p>

\u201cHosting the 12th International \u03b3\u03b4 T Cell Conference in Wroc\u0142aw is a tremendous honor for the entire Polish immunology community. Next May, we will welcome several hundred scientists from the world\u2019s leading research institutions. \u03b3\u03b4 T cells are now among the most promising areas of research in cancer immunotherapy, infectious diseases, and immune disorders. We believe that a better understanding of the mechanisms by which these cells function may pave the way for the development of new treatment methods for diseases in which currently available therapies remain insufficiently effective. This goal is aligned with the mission of the P4Health Center of Excellence, operating within \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT, which focuses on the development and translation of innovative biomedical technologies, including cell therapies. Research on \u03b3\u03b4 T cells fits perfectly within this direction, combining scientific discovery with the potential for practical application in patient treatment,\u201d said Dr. hab. Grzegorz Chodaczek, leader of the Immunotherapy Research Group at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT and organizer of the conference.<\/p>
