A \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT scholar has received the Student Nobel! Kacper Albin Prokop, a fifth-year student of Medical Chemistry at the University of Wroc\u0142aw, has won the award in the category of Natural Sciences and Energy.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This year\u2019s Student Nobel<\/strong> in the category of Natural Sciences and Energy was awarded to Kacper Albin Prokop<\/strong>, a fifth-year Medical Chemistry student at the University of Wroc\u0142aw and a scholarship holder in the Advanced Materials Synthesis Research Group<\/strong> at the Materials Science & Engineering Center<\/strong> of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT. The award is part of a nationwide competition organized by the Independent Students\u2019 Association, whose main goal is to recognize ambitious students achieving success in science, art, and social activities.<\/p>

This was the 13th edition of the Student Nobel competition. Eighty-six students from across Poland reached the finals. Their submissions were evaluated by the National Competition Committee, composed of 33 professors from Polish universities. The jury selected winners in nine categories: Technical Sciences, Art, Journalism and Literature, Natural Sciences and Energy, Physics and Astronomy, Medicine and Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Economic Sciences, and Social Activity.<\/p>

Kacper Albin Prokop<\/strong> received the award in the category of Natural Sciences and Energy. The laureate has already achieved numerous successes. In the 2020\/2021 academic year, he received the Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education<\/strong> for outstanding scientific achievements. He was also a finalist of the Golden Medal of Chemistry<\/strong> competition organized by the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the best bachelor\u2019s thesis in chemistry (2019).<\/p>

He has been collaborating with \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT<\/strong> for several years, completing internships and participating in scientific projects (including those funded by the National Science Centre (NCN)<\/strong> and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR)<\/strong>). Currently, as part of his research scholarship, he is working on a project related to 2D layers \u2014 specifically, the production and analysis of graphene. In 2020, he served as Chairman<\/strong> of the first edition of the International Conference Prequel Symposium on Advanced Technologies and Materials (PreATAM 2020)<\/strong>.<\/p>
