The scientist from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm has been awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Polish Honorary Research Scholarship, granted by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3043fc1 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"3043fc1\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-be2a90c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"be2a90c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"447\" data-end=\"817\">For six months, <strong data-start=\"463\" data-end=\"478\">Prof. Meyer<\/strong> will collaborate with researchers at <strong data-start=\"516\" data-end=\"579\">\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT Polish Center for Technology Development<\/strong>, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience. He will carry out the project <strong data-start=\"659\" data-end=\"688\">\u201cLight Converting Layers\u201d<\/strong> within the <strong data-start=\"700\" data-end=\"747\">Advanced Materials Synthesis Research Group<\/strong> at the <strong data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"797\">Materials Science &amp; Engineering Center<\/strong> of the Institute.<\/p><p data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"1287\"><strong data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"839\">Prof. Gerd Meyer<\/strong> is a professor at the <strong data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"901\">Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)<\/strong> in Stockholm. For most of his academic career, he was affiliated with the <strong data-start=\"976\" data-end=\"1001\">University of Cologne<\/strong>, where he headed the <strong data-start=\"1023\" data-end=\"1060\">Department of Inorganic Chemistry<\/strong>. He is a member of the <strong data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1114\">Royal Society of Chemistry<\/strong> and both <strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1166\" data-is-only-node=\"\">American and German Chemical Societies<\/strong>. His research interests include the <strong data-start=\"1203\" data-end=\"1248\">optical and magnetic properties of solids<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1284\">formation of structures<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1576\">The <strong data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1331\">Alexander von Humboldt Scholarship<\/strong> marks another stage of <strong data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1372\">Prof. Meyer\u2019s<\/strong> collaboration with <strong data-start=\"1392\" data-end=\"1414\">\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT<\/strong>. In October 2020, he was a guest at <strong data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1462\">PreATAM<\/strong>, a symposium organized at the Wroc\u0142aw institute, dedicated to the latest achievements in materials engineering.<\/p><p data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1887\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The <strong data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1645\">Alexander von Humboldt Polish Honorary Research Scholarship<\/strong> is awarded by the <strong data-start=\"1664\" data-end=\"1697\">Foundation for Polish Science<\/strong> to distinguished, actively working German scholars.
