Three days of inspiring discussions, fourteen hours of online broadcasting, twenty speakers, and nearly one hundred and fifty participants \u2014 the first international PORT for Health: Neuroscience conference, organized by the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Center at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT, has come to an end.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In mid-October, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT<\/strong> hosted more than twenty distinguished scientists and clinicians<\/strong> in the field of human health from Europe, the United States, and China<\/strong>.
The conference was divided into three thematic sessions<\/strong> dedicated to affective disorders<\/strong>, neurodevelopmental disorders<\/strong>, and eating disorders<\/strong>.<\/p>

Invited speakers discussed topics such as fundamental molecular mechanisms<\/strong>, the development of human disease models<\/strong>, drug discovery<\/strong>, and innovative targeted therapies<\/strong> in personalized medicine<\/strong>.<\/p>

Our Institute was represented by:<\/p>

  • Dr. Micha\u0142 \u015al\u0119zak<\/strong> \u2013 leader of the Astrocyte Biology Research Group<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

  • Dr. Witold Konopka<\/strong> \u2013 leader of the Neuroplasticity and Metabolism Research Group<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

  • Dr. Tomasz Pr\u00f3szy\u0144ski<\/strong> \u2013 leader of the Synaptogenesis Research Group<\/strong><\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The PORT for Health: Neuroscience<\/strong> conference took place from October 13\u201315, 2021<\/strong>, in a hybrid format<\/strong>, marking the first international scientific and medical conference<\/strong> organized by \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT<\/strong>.<\/p>

    The topic of next year\u2019s conference will be oncology<\/strong>.
