On 22 April 2025, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT hosted 18 students from Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology and the University of Wroc\u0142aw for a one-day workshop organized as part of the SAME-NeuroID Spring School. The event, held onsite in Wroc\u0142aw, provided participants with a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of neurobiology and to discuss potential career paths with researchers from the SAME-NeuroID network.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe day began with an energizing integration session led by Ivan Mindlin from the Paris Brain Institute. His presence perfectly reflected the essence of SAME-NeuroID \u2013 connecting young researchers and institutions across Europe.\n\nStudents took part in rotating laboratory workshops dedicated to in vitro and in vivo models used in research on psychiatric and behavioral disorders. The sessions were conducted by Ewa Mr\u00f3wczy\u0144ska and Bartosz Zglinicki from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT. These methods form the core of scientific work within the SAME-NeuroID project, making hands-on exposure particularly important. The scientific programme also included short presentations outlining the diversity of neurobiological research conducted at PORT \u2013 from neuroplasticity and neurodegeneration to trauma, memory, and interactions with the immune system.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Micha\u0142 \u015al\u0119zak and Martyna Sku\u0142a presented different career perspectives \u2013 both academic and industry-oriented \u2013 sharing their experiences with the participants. The day concluded with a guided tour of the PORT laboratories and a networking session led by Daniela Domingues from the Paris Brain Institute, providing an informal space for exchanging ideas and building relationships among participants from various institutions.\n\nEvents like this are an integral part of our mission: enabling students and early-career researchers to learn directly from scientists and fostering collaboration between research centres.
