The Foundation of the Polish Center for Technology Development was established in 2019 as an entity supporting scientific, educational, and science-popularization activities. In 2023, more than 2,600 children took part in free workshops held with the Foundation\u2019s support. Every zloty donated to the Foundation in the annual tax return increases the opportunity to organize even more events and activities, allowing even more people to benefit from them.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Thanks to the cooperation between the PORT Foundation and OSRAM, a modern educational laboratory was established at the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT Institute in 2022, enabling classes in fields such as photonics and materials chemistry. In 2023, efforts focused on expanding the workshop offering and other educational formats aligned with the social responsibility of science mission carried out by \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT and the Gardens of Experience. This mission proved highly successful: in only their second year of operation, the Gardens of Experience team organized over 900 workshops for nearly 8,400 children. With the Foundation\u2019s support, some events were held free of charge.<\/p>

\u201cAmong the institutions with which the PORT Foundation has signed cooperation agreements are, for example, the \u015aroda \u015al\u0105ska County Office and the Municipal Office in Mi\u0119kinia. Under these agreements, and thanks to the Foundation\u2019s financial support, several thousand children each year can participate in free workshops, events, and activities that encourage young people to explore the fascinating world of science,\u201d says Pawe\u0142 Kurant, Management Board Member of the Foundation of the Polish Center for Technology Development. \u201cSelected events, such as participation in the Lower Silesian Science Festival and certain workshops, are held with the Foundation\u2019s financial support. The level of funding depends on the pool of resources donated by contributors, which is why, as every year, we strongly encourage everyone to allocate 1.5% to the PORT Foundation,\u201d adds Pawe\u0142 Kurant.<\/p>

All funds obtained will be fully allocated to the Foundation\u2019s statutory goals. In addition to supporting scientific and educational activities, these include nurturing young talent, implementing pro-environmental projects, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Each year, in cooperation with the Foundation, \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT also organizes a Science Picnic \u2013 an event dedicated to the local community, during which the Pracze Odrza\u0144skie campus opens its doors to visitors. Participants have the opportunity to talk with scientists, attend numerous lectures, workshops, and scientific activities, as well as visit laboratories that serve as the everyday workplace of researchers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
