Her research focused on investigating the role of tumor-associated macrophages in breast cancer in the context of the impact of vitamin D on the tumor microenvironment. Wykazano tak\u017ce ich rol\u0119 w aktywacji przeciwnowotworowej odpowiedzi immunologicznej. ILC2 s\u0105 obecne w zwi\u0119kszonych ilo\u015bciach w tkankach barierowych, takich jak sk\u00f3ra, gdzie wykazuj\u0105 zwi\u0119kszon\u0105 ekspresj\u0119 receptora dla IL-18. Podczas gdy produkowana przez keratynocyty IL-18 stymuluje odpowied\u017a zapaln\u0105, witamina D pe\u0142ni w sk\u00f3rze funkcje immunomoduluj\u0105ce i przeciwzapalne. Ponadto, witamina D, kt\u00f3rej g\u0142\u00f3wnym \u017ar\u00f3d\u0142em jest tak\u017ce synteza przez keratynocyty, jest czynnikiem szeroko opisywanym w kontek\u015bcie przeciwnowotworowej aktywno\u015bci.<\/p><p>Udzia\u0142 IL-18 oraz aktywnej formy witaminy D (kalcytriolu) w kontek\u015bcie aktywacji ILC2 i roli jak\u0105 pe\u0142ni\u0105 w patogenezie czerniaka nie zosta\u0142 dot\u0105d zbadany.
