Six researchers from \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT have been awarded grants in competitions organized by the National Science Centre (NCN): OPUS 23, PRELUDIUM 21, and POLONEZ BIS 2.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Through projects submitted both individually and in consortia with other research institutions, scientists from our Institute secured a total of more than PLN 7 million to carry out research in the fields of materials engineering and life sciences.<\/p>

      The National Science Centre supports basic research by funding research projects and scientific activities through competitive calls. In the recently concluded NCN competitions\u2014OPUS 23, PRELUDIUM 21, and POLONEZ BIS 2\u2014researchers will receive nearly PLN 491 million to conduct basic research.<\/p>

      The OPUS call is open to researchers at all stages of their careers. A project leader must have at least one published or accepted-for-publication paper, or\u2014 in the case of arts\u2014at least one artistic or artistic-scientific achievement. A scientific degree is not required.<\/p>

      PRELUDIUM supports the development of early-career researchers by enabling them to gain experience in managing a research project prior to obtaining a doctoral degree. The project topic may, but does not have to, be related to the planned doctoral dissertation.<\/p>

      POLONEZ BIS is a grant programme for researchers coming to Poland from abroad. It is intended for individuals who hold a doctoral degree or have at least four years of full-time research experience. In the three years preceding the opening date of the call, applicants must not have resided, been employed, or studied in Poland for more than a total of 12 months.<\/p>
