Congratulations!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d4f972c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d4f972c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b5a0c50 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b5a0c50\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"324\" data-end=\"768\">The PhD dissertation entitled <em data-start=\"354\" data-end=\"497\">\u201cApplication of the Sol\u2013Gel Method for the Preparation of Functional Hybrid Coatings on Flexible Substrates with Reduced Oxygen Permeability\u201d<\/em> was carried out at the <strong data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"636\">W\u0142odzimierz Trzebiatowski Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences<\/strong> in Wroc\u0142aw. Its aim was to develop hybrid organic\u2013inorganic coatings on a flexible substrate\u2014polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film.<\/p><p data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"1129\">As a result of the conducted research, coatings with reduced oxygen permeability, low surface free energy, and promising optical parameters were obtained. Thanks to these properties, they may find industrial applications as an alternative to multilayer packaging, as well as protective or anti-reflective coatings (e.g., in flexible solar cells or photonics).<\/p><p data-start=\"1131\" data-end=\"1442\"><strong data-start=\"1131\" data-end=\"1160\">Dr. Eng. Kamila Startek\u2019s<\/strong> dissertation was developed between 2017 and 2021. The research topic resulted from her interest in hybrid coatings, which began with her participation in the project <em data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1393\">\u201cFlexible Polymer Solar Cells with Improved Long-Term Stability\u201d<\/em> carried out under the LIDER program (2014\u20132016).<\/p><p data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1652\">An implementation doctorate is an alternative pathway to obtaining a doctoral degree, intended for individuals who wish to develop their scientific careers while continuing professional work outside academia.<\/p><p data-start=\"1654\" data-end=\"1736\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Several further implementation doctorates are currently underway at our Institute.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first implementation doctorate at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT has been successfully defended!
