Do you need a COVID-19 test result? You can now get tested free of charge<\/strong> at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT swab collection points! We invite you to take part in the CoVSens<\/strong> research project, whose aim is to develop a new test for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Free RT-PCR tests are available at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT drive-through testing sites in Wroc\u0142aw. The only requirement is consent to collect an additional nasal and throat swab for the purposes of the research project. Two of the collected samples will be used to perform a standard molecular test in our laboratory. As a result, volunteers participating in the project will receive a reliable test result authorized by a laboratory diagnostician. The remaining two swabs will be used to validate the new test and will be used exclusively for scientific purposes.<\/p>

The CoVSens<\/strong> project is carried out by a team from the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics<\/strong> in cooperation with \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT Polish Center for Technology Development<\/strong>. The project is funded by the Medical Research Agency<\/strong>.<\/p>

Participation conditions:<\/p>

  • The study is open to adults only.<\/p><\/li>

  • No prior registration is required.<\/p><\/li>

  • Test results are issued in both Polish and English.<\/p><\/li>

  • Free testing will be available until 30\/09\/2022<\/strong> or until the required number of samples within the project is reached.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    • Pracze Campus<\/strong> (147 Stab\u0142owicka Street), Monday to Friday, 8:00\u201312:00<\/strong>,<\/p><\/li>

    • Wroc\u0142aw Airport<\/strong> (190 Graniczna Street, Parking B in front of the terminal), Monday to Friday, 8:00\u201312:00<\/strong>, and Saturdays 8:00\u201310:00<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
