We leave the event enriched with new knowledge and a better understanding of best practices in using the latest bioinformatics and machine learning tools in research on the etiology and development of many diseases.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f0223c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5f0223c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-939fecf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"939fecf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"471\">Behind us are:<\/p><ul data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"922\"><li data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"582\"><p data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"582\"><strong data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"490\">56 lectures<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"502\" data-end=\"524\">5 keynote lectures<\/strong> delivered by renowned scientists from around the world,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"894\"><p data-start=\"585\" data-end=\"894\">matchmaking sessions organized by the <strong data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"685\">Industry Contact Point for Medical and Health Technologies<\/strong> as part of the initiative <em data-start=\"712\" data-end=\"768\">\u201cNeuroscience meets Bioinformatics for Horizon Europe\u201d<\/em>, aimed at fostering cooperation between researchers, building consortia, and implementing joint interdisciplinary projects,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"922\"><p data-start=\"897\" data-end=\"922\">many hours of networking.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"1145\">During the conference, representatives of leading scientific and research institutions from, among others, China, Israel, Canada, the United States, Germany, Portugal, Denmark, and other European countries took the floor.<\/p><p data-start=\"1147\" data-end=\"1205\">Topics addressed during ISBRA 2023 included, among others:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1318\"><li data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1250\"><p data-start=\"1209\" data-end=\"1250\">efficient analysis of large-scale data,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1251\" data-end=\"1278\"><p data-start=\"1253\" data-end=\"1278\">single-cell sequencing,<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1318\"><p data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1318\">integrative gene expression analysis.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1443\">Approximately <strong data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1353\">80 participants<\/strong> (on-site and online) took part in the event, which was held in Poland for the first time.<\/p><p data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1617\">The <strong data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1525\">19th International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications<\/strong> was held under the honorary patronage of the <strong data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1616\">Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1655\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1637\">Media partner:<\/strong> Biotechnologia.pl<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The international conference 19th International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications \u2013 ISBRA 2023, held on 09\/10\/2023\u201312\/10\/2023 at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT, has come to an end.
