This year, however, the conference will be organized for the first time under the banner of <strong data-start=\"329\" data-end=\"341\">P4Health<\/strong>, a strategic project for \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT. Thanks to support from the <strong data-start=\"414\" data-end=\"440\">Teaming for Excellence<\/strong> programme of <strong data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"472\">Horizon Europe<\/strong>, the Institute is implementing activities aimed, among others, at optimizing the diagnosis of neurobiological diseases. These topics will be at the heart of discussions during the conference, which begins on <strong data-start=\"681\" data-end=\"692\">7 April<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e9e3f3 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"4e9e3f3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a76adc9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a76adc9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"1036\">During <strong data-start=\"702\" data-end=\"740\">PORT for Health: Neuroscience 2025<\/strong>, speakers\u2014world-class experts in neurobiology\u2014will present the latest results of their research and discuss pathways for translating scientific discoveries into real-world applications. The opening session, <strong data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"1013\">\u201cEmpowering translational brain research through networking,\u201d<\/strong> will be introduced by:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1538\"><li data-start=\"1038\" data-end=\"1115\"><p data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1115\">Lorenza Magno and Judith Schweimer (Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma, Germany)<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1205\"><p data-start=\"1118\" data-end=\"1205\">Julie Neubauer (Fraunhofer Project Center for Stem Cell Process Engineering, Germany)<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1206\" data-end=\"1290\"><p data-start=\"1208\" data-end=\"1290\">Joseph Hritz (CEITEC \u2013 Central European Institute of Technology, Czech Republic)<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1291\" data-end=\"1398\"><p data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1398\">Luis Pereira de Almeida (University of Coimbra, GeneT \u2013 Center of Excellence in Gene Therapy, Portugal)<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1463\"><p data-start=\"1401\" data-end=\"1463\">Cezary Mazurek (Pozna\u0144 Supercomputing and Networking Center)<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1538\"><p data-start=\"1466\" data-end=\"1538\">Witold Konopka, Micha\u0142 \u015al\u0119zak, Agnieszka Krzy\u017cosiak (\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT)<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1693\">This session will focus on the importance of cooperation between research institutions and open access to data repositories for advancing brain research.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1695\" data-end=\"1779\">Session I: <em data-start=\"1710\" data-end=\"1777\">Neuroimmune dialogue with sensory systems and cancer neuroscience<\/em><\/h3><p data-start=\"1780\" data-end=\"2320\">Researchers Marcin Szczot (Link\u00f6ping University, Sweden), Franziska Denk (King\u2019s College London), Mateusz Kucharczyk (\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT), and Anne-Marie Heegaard (University of Copenhagen) will present current discoveries in neurophysiological oncology. Research into interactions between tumor tissue, the nervous system, and the immune system is a rapidly developing field that enables the development of entirely new therapeutic approaches in the fight against cancer\u2014diseases that increasingly affect patients as life expectancy rises.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2398\">Session II: <em data-start=\"2338\" data-end=\"2396\">Translational approaches to understand neurodegeneration<\/em><\/h3><p data-start=\"2399\" data-end=\"2762\">Speakers Selina Wray (University College London), Sara Carracedo (University of Bordeaux), Pranesh Padmanabahn (University of Queensland), and Dimitris Xirodimas (Montpellier Cell Biology Research Center) will discuss strategies for addressing age-dependent neuronal loss in diseases such as dementia, Alzheimer\u2019s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2764\" data-end=\"2829\">Session III: <em data-start=\"2781\" data-end=\"2827\">Translational biomarkers of mental disorders<\/em><\/h3><p data-start=\"2830\" data-end=\"3178\">This session will focus on effective and clinically accessible diagnostic methods for cognitive and mental disorders. Presentations will be given by Mykhailo Batiuk (\u00c9cole Polytechnique F\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne, Switzerland), Aleksandra Badura and Henk-Jan Boehle (Erasmus University MC, Netherlands), and Thomas Fenzl (Technical University of Munich).<\/p><h3 data-start=\"3180\" data-end=\"3249\">Session IV: <em data-start=\"3196\" data-end=\"3247\">Translational neuropsychiatry across the lifespan<\/em><\/h3><p data-start=\"3250\" data-end=\"3618\">The central theme of this session will be psychiatric treatment methods. Agnes Nadjar (Universit\u00e9 de Bordeaux), Weronika Potok (ETH Zurich), Nora Raschle (University of Zurich), and Ali Jawaid (\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT) will present the mind and brain as systems whose components become dysregulated in cognitive disorders, as well as approaches to restoring their function.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"3620\" data-end=\"3683\">Satellite session: <em data-start=\"3643\" data-end=\"3681\">PORT4Business \u2013 Digital therapeutics<\/em><\/h3><p data-start=\"3684\" data-end=\"4129\">This session continues the discussion on combating cognitive disorders such as chronic stress and affective disorders, inviting representatives from the business sector. Artificial intelligence will be the key focus.
