The joint letter of support is a clear signal of regional unity and readiness to host an investment of strategic importance for the development of advanced technologies and security.<\/p><p data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1478\"> <\/p><p>The planned ESA Technology Centre is intended to become one of the country\u2019s key research and development hubs. Its activities will focus on the development of space technologies, particularly in the areas of space security and dual-use civil\u2013military solutions. The Centre is also expected to support Polish companies and research institutions in gaining access to international programmes and contracts implemented within the framework of ESA.<\/p><p data-start=\"1480\" data-end=\"1798\"> <\/p><p>The significance of this initiative is highlighted by Prof. Jaros\u0142aw Bosy, Director of \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT:<br>\u201cThis is a project that can genuinely change Wroc\u0142aw\u2019s position on the map of European research and innovation, attracting international teams, advanced projects, and new partnerships between science and industry.\u201d<\/p><p>Wroc\u0142aw and the Lower Silesia region have a strong scientific and technological base, including a well-developed academic environment, research institutes, and a dynamically growing sector of innovative enterprises \u2013 strengths that were emphasized in the letter of support. Another important factor is the region\u2019s experience in international cooperation, including with partners from Germany and the Czech Republic, which fosters the development of cross-border projects.<\/p><p data-start=\"2208\" data-end=\"2649\"> <\/p><p>\u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 PORT was indicated as one of the potential locations for the Centre due to its modern research infrastructure and competencies enabling the implementation of advanced research and development projects in cooperation with industry and international partners. The document also emphasized the region\u2019s readiness to provide conditions allowing for the efficient launch of the new centre\u2019s operations.<\/p><p data-start=\"2651\" data-end=\"3015\"> <\/p><p>The process of selecting the location of the ESA Technology Centre remains open and is currently at the stage of analyses and consultations.
