der Waals\/III-N junctions<\/strong> and to <strong data-start=\"824\" data-end=\"865\">understand their operating mechanisms<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"877\" data-end=\"936\">control and optimization of the spectral response range<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"1273\">To achieve this, the project will investigate the <strong data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1026\">distribution of electric fields<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1082\">van der Waals\/III-N heterostructures (vdW\/III-N)<\/strong>, focusing on aspects such as the <strong data-start=\"1116\" data-end=\"1167\">Fermi level position at the vdW\/III-N interface<\/strong>, its <strong data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1205\">variation under illumination<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1228\">carrier transport<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1254\">defect formation<\/strong> at the junction.<\/p><p data-start=\"1275\" data-end=\"1572\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The central hypothesis is that by <strong data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1347\">selecting appropriate vdW crystals<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1391\">optimizing their deposition methods<\/strong> on the III-N heterostructure (including annealing techniques), it will be possible to obtain <strong data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1528\">high-performance photovoltaic detectors<\/strong> with a <strong data-start=\"1536\" data-end=\"1571\">tunable spectral response
