data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"450\" data-end=\"812\">Thermochromic materials (from the Greek <em data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"499\">thermos<\/em>, meaning temperature, and <em data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"535\">chromos<\/em>, meaning color) exhibit changes in their <strong data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"599\">optical properties<\/strong>\u2014such as color\u2014depending on the <strong data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"654\">applied temperature<\/strong>. These materials can respond to both <strong data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"699\">low<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"704\" data-end=\"712\">high<\/strong> temperatures and are typically categorized into <strong data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"777\">three groups<\/strong>: organic, inorganic, and hybrid.<\/p><p data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"1416\">The materials investigated in the project <em data-start=\"856\" data-end=\"940\">\u201cStudy of Ionogels Doped with Organic Dyes as New Potential Thermochromic Markers\u201d<\/em> are <strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"981\">modern organic\u2013inorganic hybrids<\/strong> characterized by <strong data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1028\">irreversible color change<\/strong>. In this study, the <strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1061\">ionogels<\/strong> are based on a <strong data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1094\">silica matrix<\/strong> impregnated with an <strong data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1131\">ionic liquid<\/strong> and an <strong data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1154\">organic dye<\/strong>. The <strong data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1177\">silica matrix<\/strong> determines the material\u2019s physical form, enabling it to be applied to a microscope slide; the <strong data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1288\">ionic liquid<\/strong> defines the temperature range at which color change occurs; and the <strong data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1372\">organic dye<\/strong> determines the final color of the marker.<\/p><p data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"1657\">Ionogels have already found use in various fields, such as <strong data-start=\"1477\" data-end=\"1502\">lithium-ion batteries<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1521\">insulators<\/strong>, and they hold potential for future applications in <strong data-start=\"1574\" data-end=\"1593\">\u201csmart windows\u201d<\/strong>\u2014glass that changes color or darkens under heat from sunlight.<\/p><p data-start=\"1659\" data-end=\"2146\">This project aims to <strong data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1712\">synthesize a hybrid material<\/strong> that combines the advantages of its components to create an <strong data-start=\"1773\" data-end=\"1813\">irreversible thermochromic indicator<\/strong>, potentially applicable in <strong data-start=\"1841\" data-end=\"1864\">overheating sensors<\/strong>. It is hypothesized that the <strong data-start=\"1894\" data-end=\"1923\">final material properties<\/strong> will depend on the <strong data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"1994\">type and concentration of the ionic liquid used<\/strong>. So far, no studies have investigated the relationship between the <strong data-start=\"2062\" data-end=\"2095\">structure of the ionic liquid<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"2104\" data-end=\"2143\">properties of silica-based ionogels<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"2148\" data-end=\"2599\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Another intriguing aspect concerns the <strong data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2222\">color change of the organic dye<\/strong> in response to temperature variations. The project will also explore <strong data-start=\"2292\" data-end=\"2320\">structural relationships<\/strong> within the hybrid materials <strong data-start=\"2349\" data-end=\"2379\">before and after annealing<\/strong>, using <strong data-start=\"2387\" data-end=\"2415\">spectroscopic techniques<\/strong>.
