project is to <strong data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"765\">better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying Huntington\u2019s disease (HD)<\/strong> pathology in both <strong data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"795\">neurons<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"800\" data-end=\"814\">astrocytes<\/strong>. The study may contribute to the <strong data-start=\"848\" data-end=\"895\">identification of novel therapeutic targets<\/strong> not only for Huntington\u2019s disease but also for <strong data-start=\"943\" data-end=\"980\">other neurodegenerative disorders<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1357\">Under the supervision of <strong data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1045\">Agnieszka Marta Krzy\u017cosiak, PhD<\/strong>, the research team will investigate the effects of <strong data-start=\"1097\" data-end=\"1122\">genetic manipulations<\/strong> targeting <strong data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1187\">specific genes involved in protein quality control<\/strong>, which correlate with HD pathology.
