\u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 PORT Polish Center for Technology Development<\/strong><\/p>

The scientific goal of this research project is to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying Huntington\u2019s disease (HD)<\/strong> pathology in both neurons<\/strong> and astrocytes<\/strong>. The study may contribute to the identification of novel therapeutic targets<\/strong> not only for Huntington\u2019s disease but also for other neurodegenerative disorders<\/strong>.<\/p>

Under the supervision of Agnieszka Marta Krzy\u017cosiak, PhD<\/strong>, the research team will investigate the effects of genetic manipulations<\/strong> targeting specific genes involved in protein quality control<\/strong>, which correlate with HD pathology. The aim is to identify new, effective molecular modulators<\/strong> capable of alleviating or reversing Huntington\u2019s disease mechanisms.<\/p>

Subsequently, the project will assess the role of selected genes in neuro-glial interactions<\/strong>, both in mixed 3D co-culture systems<\/strong> and in vivo<\/strong> models.<\/p>

The outcomes of this project are expected to provide valuable insights into cellular communication<\/strong> between neurons and glial cells and may pave the way for innovative therapeutic approaches<\/strong> in neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington\u2019s.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/article>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
