Process Engineer – Specialist in Cancer Neurophysiology Research Group

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Behavioural Analysis on laboratory animals (mice).

• Genotyping: Perform PCR reactions, design primers, and run DNA gel electrophoresis.

• Autoclaving and preparation of basic research materials (buffers, solutions, etc.).

• Assist with surgical procedures.

• Accurate Documentation: Ensure effective and precise recording of all procedures.

•Conduct experiments in consultation with the group leader and/or Postdocs.

• Participate in group meetings, journal clubs, seminars, and conferences.

• Prepare detailed records of your work.

• Work closely with other lab members on research projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.

• Good English skills, both spoken and written.

• Understand principles of Mendelian genetics.

• Familiarity with transgenic animal systems (e.g., Cre-Lox, cKO).

• Certificate for working with laboratory animals (e.g., POLLASA) or willingness to obtain one.

• Ability to perform genotyping (PCR and agarose gel electrophoresis).

• Practical knowledge of standard laboratory equipment (autoclaves, pH meters, etc.) and procedures (buffer preparation, etc.).

• Good computer skills, including MS Office and other data management/analysis programs.

• Excellent communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, attention to detail, and time management.
