Director of Łukasiewicz – PORT
The Director, Prof. Jarosław Bosy
Since December 2015, I have served as a full professor at the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. From 2016 to 2020, I held the position of Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, and from September 1, 2020, to August 31, 2024, I served as Rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. On September 3, 2024, I was appointed Acting Director, and on January 30, 2025, Director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development.
Deputy Director for Finance and Operations – Paweł Kurant
For 15 years, I have managed operational processes, cost optimization, and the implementation of development strategies. I specialize in building effective teams, improving business processes, and implementing tools that increase management efficiency. I guide organizations through development and optimization processes, delivering both financial and strategic goals.
R&D Director – Dr. habil. Joanna Cybińska
Doctor of Science Joanna Cybińska, Associate Professor at the University of Wrocław, serves as R&D Director and Leader of the Advanced Materials Synthesis Group (AdMat). Her research focuses on the synthesis and optical properties of luminescent materials, particularly inorganic compounds doped with rare-earth metal ions and functional nanomaterials.
She began her academic career at the University of Wrocław, where she earned her PhD and habilitation in chemical sciences. She has also gained international research experience through numerous fellowships, including at the universities of Cologne, Lyon, and Aveiro, as well as at the DESY research center in Hamburg.
Institute Council
The Institute Council of Łukasiewicz – PORT plays a key advisory and supervisory role in the Institute’s structure, supporting its scientific, technological, and organizational development. Its members represent diverse environments – science, business, and public administration – ensuring a comprehensive perspective on the Institute’s activities.
Thanks to its diversity, the Council supports the Institute in achieving its mission by combining scientific, business, and societal perspectives. Its members play an important role in shaping the Institute’s strategy and overseeing its operations.
