ATAM 2022 Symposium Concluded

Four days, over 40 speakers—including participants from Canada, France, the Netherlands, and Spain—meetings, discussions, and conversations. The Symposium on Advanced Technologies and Materials (ATAM 2022), held on 06/09/2022–09/09/2022, has come to an end.

The conference was dedicated to hybrid and photonic materials, 2D coatings, as well as polymers and perovskites. Invited lectures were delivered by outstanding scientists, including Prof. Makhsud Saidaminov (University of Victoria, Canada), Prof. Catarina Esteves (Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands), Prof. Richard Hoogenboom (Ghent University, Belgium), Prof. Feng Zhou (Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), Prof. Kheirreddine Lebbou (Claude Bernard University Lyon 1, France), Prof. Gerd Meyer (University of Cologne, Germany, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden), Prof. Miłosz Pawlicki (Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University), Dr. Beatriz Martín-García (CIC nanoGUNE, Spain), Dr. Daniele Cortecchia (IIT Milan, University of Bologna, Italy), Dr. Dominik Kubicki (Department of Physics, University of Warwick), and Dr. Filip Granek (XTPL, Wrocław).

A special section was dedicated to early-career researchers and included a poster session organized in a unique speed-dating format. The conference was held in a hybrid format, with all lectures and presentations streamed online. Each day, several dozen participants attended the lectures and presentations in the auditorium, while approximately one hundred joined the online stream. More information about the event can be found on the ATAM 2022 website.

The organization of the conference was co-financed under the project “Establishment and Development of the Competence Center for Natural Strategic Raw Materials. Adaptation of Existing Research Infrastructure and Equipping with Specialized Apparatus” (INFRATER), funded by the European Regional Development Fund under the Lower Silesian Regional Operational Programme 2014–2020.
