ISBRA 2023 Concluded

The international conference 19th International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications – ISBRA 2023, held on 09/10/2023–12/10/2023 at Łukasiewicz – PORT, has come to an end. We leave the event enriched with new knowledge and a better understanding of best practices in using the latest bioinformatics and machine learning tools in research on the etiology and development of many diseases.

Behind us are:

  • 56 lectures, including 5 keynote lectures delivered by renowned scientists from around the world,

  • matchmaking sessions organized by the Industry Contact Point for Medical and Health Technologies as part of the initiative “Neuroscience meets Bioinformatics for Horizon Europe”, aimed at fostering cooperation between researchers, building consortia, and implementing joint interdisciplinary projects,

  • many hours of networking.

During the conference, representatives of leading scientific and research institutions from, among others, China, Israel, Canada, the United States, Germany, Portugal, Denmark, and other European countries took the floor.

Topics addressed during ISBRA 2023 included, among others:

  • efficient analysis of large-scale data,

  • single-cell sequencing,

  • integrative gene expression analysis.

Approximately 80 participants (on-site and online) took part in the event, which was held in Poland for the first time.

The 19th International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications was held under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
