Łukasiewicz – PORT at the 2024 Economic Forum in Karpacz
On September 4th, 2024, Kacper Prokop, an employee of Łukasiewicz – PORT, attended the prestigious Economic Forum in Karpacz at the invitation of the Minister of Education and Science, Dariusz Wieczorek. He participated in the discussion panel titled “Where is science headed?” held at 1:30 PM, which gathered prominent representatives from the fields of science and business.
The discussion panel featured notable speakers, including:
- Piotr Wachowiak, Rector, Warsaw School of Economics,
- Leszek Stypułkowski, Member of the Management Board, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego,
- Henryk Skarżyński, Director, Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing,
- Aleksandra Cisłak-Wójcik, Vice-Rector for Science, SWPS University,
- Iwona Kurz, Dean of the Faculty of Polish Studies, University of Warsaw,
- Artur Kozłowski, Director, Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Innovative Techniques EMAG.
Although Kacper Prokop did not serve as a panelist, his attendance as a guest provided an excellent opportunity to network with other Ph.D. students, including those involved in applied research. The event was a unique platform for fostering connections between academic and business communities, making it highly valuable.
Additionally, Kacper participated in the sessions of the “Youth Forum”, where dynamic and insightful discussions took place. Topics such as artificial intelligence, the war in Ukraine, and global warming were explored, and the presence of experts in these fields made for highly informative debates.
