Registration is open for the 4th National Scientific and Training Conference of Polish Biobanks. During the event, the latest achievements of the Polish scientific community in the field of biobanking will be presented. The online conference will take place on 6–7 December.
Participation is invited by the Łukasiewicz – PORT Biobank together with the other members of the BBMRI.pl Consortium, the Polish national node of the European BBMRI-ERIC network. The conference will provide an opportunity to learn about the most interesting Polish achievements in biobanking and to summarize five years of Poland’s membership in the BBMRI-ERIC structures. At the same time, the meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between biobanking units and to discuss the challenges they currently face in Poland.
The organizers particularly encourage representatives of institutions affiliated with the Polish Biobank Network to participate. The invitation is also addressed to individuals working in the collection and biobanking of human biological material, its use in scientific research conducted in Poland, and in the field of personalized medicine.
The Polish Biobanks Conference will be held on 6 and 7 December in an online format. Participation is free of charge, but the number of places is limited.
The event will be held thanks to funding from the Ministry of Education and Science under the project “Establishment of a Network of Biobanks in Poland within the Research Infrastructure of Biobanks and Biomolecular Resources BBMRI-ERIC.”
