The aim of this project is to evaluate the protective role of group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) in melanoma by analyzing their interactions with components of the tumor microenvironment. A deeper understanding of the role of ILC2 in cancer will contribute to the advancement of tumor immunology research.
Unlike chemotherapy and radiotherapy, immunotherapy does not directly attack the tumor itself. Instead, it enhances the patient’s immune system, enabling it to recognize and destroy cancer cells. Therefore, understanding the complex interplay between the components of the tumor microenvironment is crucial for developing effective cancer immunotherapies.
