Project number: 2022/01/3/NZ4/00064
Total project value: PLN 130,000.00
Total funding: PLN 130,000.00
Project implementation period: 07/07/2022 – 06/07/2023
Principal Investigator: Dr. Iana Garmash
The Synaptogenesis Research Group, led by Dr. hab. Tomasz Prószyński, which will host Dr. Iana Garmash, conducts multidisciplinary molecular research focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying the formation and function of synapses, as well as the organization and functioning of neurons. The group studies both neuromuscular junctions and the brain.
During her fellowship, Dr. Garmash will receive training in a wide range of modern laboratory techniques used across multiple projects involving various research systems. In her project, she will analyze interactions between proteins identified in previous proteomic studies and perform experiments assessing the localization of these proteins in cultured wild-type cells and in cells with the target gene knocked out.
