The project consists of two main components:
Research component – conducted in collaboration with partners from the United Kingdom (King’s College London) and Denmark (University of Copenhagen). Its goal is to understand the role of dormant pain receptors (nociceptors) within bone tumors and their contribution to tumor-associated pain.
Application component – focused on the establishment of the European Cancer Neuroscience Consortium, including the recruitment of new international partners, preparation of a Horizon Europe funding application, and increasing the project’s visibility on the international stage.
