The project will be implemented through a cross-border partnership of institutions focused on education, scientific research, and strengthening collaboration between science and business, namely:
Łukasiewicz Research Network – Polish Center for Technology Development (PORT) in Wrocław,
University of Zielona Góra,
Technical University of Dresden,
TGZ Bautzen GmbH.
The scope of the project in the Polish–Saxon border region includes:
Organizing cross-border workshops, including summer camps and open lectures in the STEM/MINT model.
Teacher training programs under the theme “Competencies of the Future.”
Providing a mobile interactive STEM/MINT exhibition accessible to a broad audience on both sides of the Polish–German border.
Conducting cooperation and networking activities to exchange experiences and know-how in the areas of future competencies, education, innovation, and the local labor market.
In the face of rapid technological progress, there is a growing demand in the labor market and daily life for analytical thinking, critical problem-solving, creativity, innovation, and well-developed social and intercultural skills.
To address these needs, the project will apply the STEM/MINT methodology, which integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into the teaching and learning process, aiming to develop skills essential in both professional and everyday contexts.
Through its cross-border character, the project will help reshape the perception of the Polish–German border—not as a barrier, but as an opportunity for developing future competencies, expanding knowledge and horizons, and gaining attractive employment in the local labor market.
