Towards Excellence in Biobanking

We would like to invite you to the satellite session of the PORT for Health: Oncology 2022 conference. The session “Towards Excellence in Biobanking” will take place on 28 September 2022.

We are pleased to announce the participation of two keynote speakers:

Dr Alison Parry-Jones, Operations Director of the Wales Cancer Biobank and President-Elect of ISBER, who will share her experience in managing the Welsh Cancer Biobank and provide her knowledge and insights regarding oncology biobanking.
Prof. Olivia Fletcher head of the Functional Genetic Epidemiology team and molecular biologist working on the Generations Study, the British Breast Cancer Study, and many other projects. Olivia will talk about her experience working with large population-based scientific studies.

We invite you to the educational session.

The meeting will also be enriched with short (10-minute) educational “know-how” sessions led by staff members of King’s Health Partners Cancer Biobank, UK, and the Wales Cancer Biobank, UK.

We sincerely invite all doctors and scientists who are already part of the biobanking community, as well as those who are considering development and engagement in Polish biobanking in the future.

This satellite session on biobanking is organized by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development, which represents the Polish Node of the National BBMRI.PL Node and participates in the BBMRI-ERIC research infrastructure. The session will take place during the PORT for Health: Oncology conference.

Participation in the session is free of charge. The meeting will take place exclusively online. Registration is open until 21 September.

The satellite session on biobanking is organized by the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development, which hosts the Polish National Node BBMRI.pl within the European research infrastructure BBMRI-ERIC. The session is held in parallel with the PORT for Health: Oncology 2022 conference.

Participation in the session is free of charge. The meeting will take place exclusively online. Registration is open until 21 September.
