We support innovation and education. Together with KOGENERACJA S.A., we are launching a new educational project entitled “Thermal Energy as the Key to a Sustainable Future”, under which we will organize workshops for children and young people. Our goal is to build environmental awareness in the next generation and, from an early age, highlight the importance of renewable energy sources in sustainable development and climate protection.
– The workshops will take place in our state-of-the-art laboratories. Students will use equipment and teaching tools that provide them with practical knowledge and skills necessary for making informed decisions in the future. We also hope to spark a passion for science in them – says Paweł Kurant, Deputy Director of Łukasiewicz – PORT, the Polish Centre for Technology Development.
As part of the project, lesson scenarios have been developed for children and youth of different age groups, with a strong emphasis on learning through experience. Workshop participants will conduct hands-on experiments related to the operating principles of a combined heat and power (CHP) plant based on cogeneration. In this way, they will not only broaden their knowledge but, above all, see and understand how the process of simultaneous heat and electricity production works – a process that plays a crucial role in modern energy systems.
– Our cooperation is an excellent example of how combining scientific knowledge with business experience can shape the awareness of the younger generation. It is important to show that innovative technologies are essential for building a sustainable future – emphasizes Dariusz Witkowski, President of KOGENERACJA S.A.
