WIB: Call for Experts Opens

Łukasiewicz – PORT invites experts in the field of medical biotechnology and oncology to cooperate. Recruitment has begun for an international panel that will carry out the substantive evaluation of applications submitted in the second call of the Virtual Research Institute (WIB).

On 15 March, a supplementary call for experts was launched in two areas related to medical biotechnology and oncology. Their task will be to assess research projects in terms of scientific merit as well as socio-economic value, including commercialization potential. The experts will also be responsible for periodic scientific evaluation of ongoing research tasks and for the final assessment of completed projects.

The second WIB call was announced on 10 March 2022. The total funding available for research teams conducting studies in the field of medical biotechnology and oncology exceeds PLN 380 million. Funds awarded under the call are intended to finance research teams, as well as the commercialization of research results or the associated know-how. The programme allows for financing up to 100% of the costs of research tasks and offers team members and their institutions significant shares in future profits from the commercialization of research outcomes.

We invite you to take part in a programme that supports leading Polish scientists conducting research on new cancer therapies.

Expert recruitment is open from 15 March to 15 June 2022. The announcement, together with detailed documentation, regulations, and a template agreement, is available on the WIB website.
