Expert Workshop: Microscopic Image Analysis

Łukasiewicz – PORT Institute invites you to a workshop on using QuPath, a software tool for microscopic image analysis. The workshops will be held at Pracze Campus and led by Dr. Zbigniew Mikulski from the La Jolla Institute for Immunology in San Diego. The workshop will take place from 13/06/2022 to 15/06/2022. Last spots available!

The aim of the workshop is to learn how to obtain quantitative data from images of tissue specimens following histological processing and microscopic imaging. Dr. Zbigniew Mikulski works daily at the La Jolla Institute, where he serves as Director of the Microscopy and Histology Core Facility. In his work, he promotes integrity and openness as the best long-term research strategy. His greatest professional satisfaction comes from seeing trainees return with improved protocols, better images, more insightful analyses, and bolder ideas. For this reason, during the workshops at Łukasiewicz – PORT, he will share his extensive experience in conducting research using QuPath.

Dr. Mikulski will guide participants through image analysis workflows, from simple quantification to advanced procedures, demonstrating how to make the most effective use of the QuPath tool. As a result, participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for analyzing their own samples. The upcoming workshop at Łukasiewicz – PORT is not only three days of intensive work, but also an excellent opportunity to meet and exchange ideas among scientists from academia and industry.

The QuPath workshop will run from 13/06/2022 to 15/06/2022, and participation is free of charge, thanks to funding from the National Science Centre (NCN). Please note that the number of places is limited; interested participants are encouraged to contact us at grzegorz.chodaczek@port.lukasiewicz.

Attention!
The three-day workshop will open with a lecture by Dr. Zbigniew Mikulski. The lecture will take place in the Institute auditorium (Building 1) on 13/06/2022 (Monday) at 10:00 AM.
