Family Workshops

At the Gardens of Experiences, Łukasiewicz – PORT, we host family-friendly workshops where science meets fun. Children and parents get the chance to experiment side by side in fully equipped laboratories, discovering scientific secrets of the world around them — and, most importantly, having a great time together!

We invite families with children aged 5–12 years to join our summer workshops, filled with experiments and shared scientific adventures. Our sessions “Slimy Senses” and “Does It Glow or Not?” are the perfect opportunity to spend quality time together, laugh, learn, and explore fascinating natural phenomena.

Key Information:

  • Each workshop lasts 45 minutes and is held in small groups (up to 15 people), ensuring plenty of space for active participation by both kids and parents.

Workshop Topics

Slimy Senses

Smell, sight, touch, hearing — just a few of our senses! But what about super-sticky liquids or vinyl polymers? Sounds mysterious? During this workshop, participants will run sensory experiments in the lab and finish by creating their very own slime to take home. Fun guaranteed!

Does It Glow or Not?

Can paper, tonic water, or tree bark glow? During this workshop, participants will discover which substances react to UV light, creating surprising effects! Together we’ll make a fluorescent lava lamp and use glow-in-the-dark dyes for playful scientific fun. A brilliant adventure awaits!
