Gardens of Experiences
Grades 7–8
Workshops for students in grades 7–8 are an excellent opportunity to deepen school knowledge through hands-on experiments in biology, chemistry, and physics. The classes introduce participants to more advanced topics such as DNA analysis or examining the fluorescent properties of substances.
Thanks to working in a professional laboratory, students have the opportunity to get closer to the real world of science and discover its applications in everyday life.
Code for Health
Do you know how long human DNA is? In what percentage is it similar to chimpanzee DNA? During the workshop, you will learn the answers to these and many other questions. Each participant will have the opportunity to take a close look at the DNA of a certain fruit. We will also discuss how everyday habits affect the “health” of our genes and how to support them in the regeneration process so that we can live long and happily.
- Group size: up to 30 participants
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Price: 25 PLN / person
Exploring pH
What is pH and how can it be measured? How does a lemon differ from citric acid? Are all soaps the same? During the workshop, young lab assistants will answer these and other questions. They will learn how to use natural pH indicators and become familiar with the pH scale. They will discover that many household substances change color depending on the environment they are in. It will be sour, alkaline, and… colorful!

BASF ECMS Academy
The BASF ECMS Academy is an educational workshop program designed to introduce young people to the fascinating world of chemistry and technology, and to show that environmental protection truly is in our hands.
Students will learn what a major challenge air protection is and how the processes of catalysis and the operation of a car catalytic converter help meet that challenge. They will prepare a sample of a car catalytic converter in the chemistry laboratory using a formula provided by BASF ECMS.

The World of Minerals
Participants will discover the secrets of rocks and minerals through real laboratory experiments. They will independently test mineral hardness, identify their features under magnification, check which minerals glow under UV light, and make their own gypsum casts. The classes will show how crystals form, and at the end each participant will receive a kit for growing crystals at home. It is a perfect opportunity to combine science with creative fun and inspire students’ passion for discovery.
- Group size: up to 30 participants
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Price: 25 PLN / person
Fragrant Laboratory
During the classes, we will examine how our sense of smell works. Young lab assistants will learn how perfumes are made and what essential oils are. They will discover where natural oils come from and what properties they have. After the workshop, participants will receive a sample of their own handmade perfume.
- Group size: up to 30 participants
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Price: 25 PLN / person
Heart Anatomy
The heart — the center of the circulatory system that pumps the blood flowing through our veins and arteries every day. During the workshop, everyone will have the opportunity to hold a real heart and, using a scalpel, explore its internal structure and trace the pathways of the pulmonary and systemic circulations. Participants will learn how the circulatory system works and what blood pressure and oxygen saturation are.
- Group size: up to 30 participants
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Price: 25 PLN / person
Fluorescence in Action
What do turmeric, tonic water, and vitamin B12 have in common? They all glow under UV radiation! Participants will reveal the magical, fluorescent nature of various substances. Some of them, such as chlorophyll, they will extract themselves from plants. At the end, they will become scientist-artists by creating coded pictures using fluorescent dyes.
- Group size: up to 30 participants
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Price: 25 PLN / person
Chemistry on the Plate
Participants will discover food ingredients in an unusual way and learn that they do not need to fear “E-number” substances. They will examine the differences between synthetic and natural colorants. Finally, they will encapsulate different flavors in edible spheres and use them to create molecular cocktails according to their own compositions!
- Group size: up to 30 participants
- Duration: 60 minutes

Who Ate the Donut? – The Perfect Crime
In this detective-style workshop, participants step into the shoes of forensic scientists. By analyzing fingerprints, shoeprints, and blood groups, they will uncover who among a group of friends is guilty of eating donuts meant for everyone. A workshop full of excitement, teamwork, and scientific investigation!
