Łukasiewicz – PORT is studying the immune response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in patients vaccinated with different types of vaccines. We invite individuals who have not yet received their first vaccine dose to participate in this scientific project. Participants will receive free antibody tests to assess both short- and long-term immunity.
The “Immunity Project” is a scientific program aimed at monitoring and comparing the antibody profile and cellular immune response in patients from the Lower Silesia region who have received vaccines from different manufacturers. The study is conducted by the Population Diagnostics Center at Łukasiewicz – PORT.
Who can take part in the project?
Adults who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 are eligible to participate. The study includes individuals receiving one of two vaccine types:
the two-dose Comirnaty vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech), or
the single-dose COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
How does the study work?
The study measures the antibody levels in blood samples collected from participants. Antibody levels will be tested three times according to the following schedule:
Single-dose COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (Johnson & Johnson):
Before vaccination.
Between the third and fifth week after vaccination.
Six months after vaccination.
Two-dose Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNTech):
Before the first dose.
Before the second dose.
Six months after the second dose.
Blood samples are collected by qualified medical staff at the Population Diagnostics Center of Łukasiewicz – PORT. Each time, only 15 ml of blood is drawn.
What are the benefits for participants?
Free monitoring of acquired immunity to SARS-CoV-2 for up to six months after vaccination.
Information on antibody levels responsible for short- and long-term immunity.
Participation in a research project contributing to the understanding of COVID-19 vaccinations, post-vaccination immunity, and the development of optimal vaccination models for patients.
Study results (antibody levels) will be available on a dedicated online platform, linked on the Institute’s website in the Offer section.
Participation in the program requires prior registration.
