Specialist – Process Engineer in The Quantitative Virology Research Group

OPIS STANOWISKA

The successful applicant will work in Quantitative Virology Research Group and join a collaborative, vibrant, and growing community of researchers in an environment that values creativity and scientific communications in Łukasiewicz–PORT. The candidate will work with different cutting-edge methodology and techniques, including barcoding viruses, flow cytometry, ChIP-seq, Net-seq, ATAC-seq and the Hi-C technique. The candidate will join scientific discussions with other members in the team and be engaged in projects. Together with the team leader, the candidate will participate in the maintenance/organization of the laboratory and help for training newcomers. Overall, the candidate will have a great opportunity to participate in research on training and and gain knowledge and skills for his/her career development.

This position is funded by the Polish National Science Center - 2022/46/E/NZ6/00022, auxiliary position.

CODZIENNE ZADANIA:

Task description
• Perform experiments in the web lab and help other team members.
• Generate protocols for the team.
• Aid for lab management/purchasing.

WYMAGANIA OBOWIĄZKOWE:

Requirements:
• M.Sc in Biology/Molecular Biology or relevant fields.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, molecular cloning… etc).
• Experience in cell culture.
• Enthusiastic about learning (new knowledge and techniques).
• Task-oriented person and a team worker.
• Polish-native speaker and good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

MILE WIDZIANE:

Be considered as added value:
• Experience in generating high-throughput sequencing libraries.
• Experience in cell culture.
• Experience in handling virus-based vectors and/or viruses.
