Animal Lab
Equipments
The animal facility is a modern, specialized space adapted for housing laboratory animals in conditions that meet the highest standards of welfare, biological safety, and research quality. The facility was designed with animal welfare in mind, and its equipment enables the execution of a wide range of studies.
All systems and devices operating in the Animal Facility Laboratory are regularly inspected and serviced, which allows for maintaining stable housing infrastructure and ensures the repeatability of experimental results. Appropriate sanitary procedures, monitoring systems, and specialized staff ensure safe and ethical conduct of studies involving animals.
The equipment of the Animal Facility Laboratory includes, among others:
- individually ventilated cage (IVC) systems – ensuring air filtration and reducing the risk of pathogen transmission,
- cage-washing stations,
- autoclaves – for sterilizing laboratory equipment,
- Class II laminar flow cabinets – enabling work under aseptic conditions while ensuring the protection of personnel, animals, and the environment,
- systems for monitoring temperature and humidity in rooms.
- quarantine rooms – intended for isolating newly arrived animals or those requiring treatment,
- cold rooms, laboratory freezers and storage areas for biological material.
The laboratory enables the conduct of high-quality scientific research while ensuring high standards of animal care. The facility meets national and international regulatory requirements, including EU directives concerning the use of animals for scientific purposes.
