Senior Living
An open initiative for long and active living
Population aging is one of the defining challenges of the coming decades and, at the same time, one of the fastest-growing markets in developed countries – the so-called silver economy. Senior Living answers both: an open initiative that builds an ecosystem connecting scientific research with the real needs of older adults.
We want to shape it together with partners – companies, universities, clinics, local governments, and organizations – who will develop, test, and deploy solutions for longer, healthier lives alongside us.
Sign the letter of intent and join the initiative. Specific directions and projects will be set jointly with the signatories.
Who can become a Senior Living signatory
We invite:
- investors and partners developing the silver economy
- silver economy, medtech, and biotech companies
- providers of senior care, assisted living, and rehabilitation services
- universities, research institutes, and research teams
- hospitals and clinical entities
- startups and developers of health technologies
- producers of food, supplements, and cosmetics
- local governments, public institutions, and social organizations

Pracze Campus – a place with a spirit of care
The Pracze Campus, now part of Łukasiewicz – PORT, carries in its history an idea that the Senior Living initiative takes up a new. In the late 19th century, the Wrocław authorities built a self-sufficient care-and-treatment complex here – a place designed not only to treat residents but to keep them active, through work in the gardens and a share in the daily life of the center.
The first buildings, designed by Richard Plüddemann and Karl Klimm, were completed in 1896 and still form a coherent urban layout amid expansive greenery. It is this genius loci – the caring spirit of the place, its tradition of treatment, care, and scientific progress – that gives the initiative its natural ground.
We are developing that older idea with the tools of 21st-century science: in a safe, green space where research on healthy aging can meet the people it is meant for.
How to become a Senior Living signatory
- Read the letter of intent.
- Complete the declaration of accession (Appendix No. 1 to the letter of intent).
