Effective 09/03/2024, Prof. Jarosław Bosy assumed the position of Acting Director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development. Prof. Bosy brings extensive scientific and organizational experience, with a career strongly connected to international research projects and collaboration with prestigious institutions worldwide.
Throughout his career, Prof. Bosy has led numerous research projects funded by major Polish and European research agencies such as the National Science Centre (NCN) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), and has participated in international initiatives including grants from the European Space Agency (ESA). His scientific achievements include an h-index of 16 and over 990 citations in the Scopus database, and an h-index of 24 with more than 2,000 citations in Google Scholar. Notably, he is also an active expert involved in evaluating research projects both nationally and internationally.
Prof. Bosy plans to continue integrating Wrocław’s scientific potential, particularly by strengthening collaboration between the academic community and the business sector, with the goal of fully leveraging the opportunities offered by Łukasiewicz – PORT. He looks to the Institute’s future with optimism, emphasizing that a key challenge will be adapting to market needs and supporting innovations that have a tangible impact on improving quality of life.
