Requirements:
- PhD or MSc in neuroscience, biological sciences, biomedical sciences, bioinformatics, biostatistics or informatics
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the bioinformatics field and using computational approaches in biomedical research
- Experience in the statistical and functional analyses of biological multi-omics data
- Programming skills in a scientific programming language
- Understanding and genuine interest in AI and GenAI concepts
- Ability to work independently and capability of interacting within a group
- Commitment, creativity and motivation to take on challenges
- Very good work organization skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Comfort working in an international research environment

The P4Health Center of Excellence, established at Łukasiewicz–PORT under the Horizon Europe Teaming for Excellence programme, is an interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to advancing P4 medicine through the integration of cutting-edge technologies, human tissue analysis, disease modelling, systems biology and advanced data analytics. Its mission is to improve the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of complex diseases, with a particular focus on brain diseases and cancer.

Position description:
We are currently seeking a Bioinformatician to support the development and day-to-day activities of the P4Health’s Platform of Functional Validation in Disease Models, led by Dr Agnieszka Krzyżosiak.
In this role, you will drive the computational analysis of multi-omics and other biological datasets to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying brain disorders. Working closely with experimental researchers, you will generate integrative insights into disease biology to identify candidate pathways and therapeutic targets and contribute to advancing our understanding of the cellular processes underlying brain diseases.

- Evaluating, adopting and applying emerging bioinformatics and AI-based tools, technologies and best practices to maintain cutting-edge analytical capabilities
- Generating computational insights into disease biology and pathological mechanisms, supporting hypotheses generation and experimental research
- Reporting to the group leader
