The Virtual Research Institute (WIB), operating within the structure of Łukasiewicz – PORT, is seeking partners for the commercialization of an innovative mRNA-based technology. The technology was developed by one of WIB’s research teams, and we are looking for a partner to help further develop and bring it to market.
The Virtual Research Institute (WIB) is a research funding program dedicated to projects with high commercialization potential, supported by a record budget of PLN 450 million provided by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The program offers five years of funding to Poland’s top research teams working in the field of medical biotechnology. Selected by international experts, these teams are tasked with developing technologies that are ready for commercialization.
Collaboration Criteria for Business Partners
The invitation is open to companies with a proven track record in mRNA technologies, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or advanced medical technologies. WIB is not seeking an early-stage investor or an academic partner; rather, it is looking for an organization ready to play an active role in shaping the commercial and application-oriented development of the technology.
“We are looking for a partner who can contribute industry expertise and support the maturation of the technology toward specific research, clinical, or industrial applications. We aim to establish a collaborative partnership in which both parties have a meaningful influence on the technology’s development pathway and future direction. We are not seeking a company to adopt a ready-made solution. Rather, we are looking for a partner to co-develop it with us. The selected partner will be able to actively shape the technology’s future applications from an early stage,” says Mikołaj Gurdała, Director of the Virtual Research Institute (WIB).
