This project represents one of the first attempts to develop computational models and algorithms for analyzing epidemiological dynamics in conflict and post-conflict settings. Through its interdisciplinary approach, it integrates current advances in computational biology, mathematical epidemiology, machine learning, and operations research, while aligning with modern trends of incorporating human behavioral factors into epidemiological modeling.

The main objectives of the project are to model the spread of infectious diseases during and after armed conflicts, and to identify strategies and decision-support mechanisms for epidemic prevention and public health improvement. The outcomes of this research will help define action plans for post-conflict recovery, supporting the effective reconstruction of healthcare infrastructure.
