About the Łukasiewicz Accelerator

The Łukasiewicz Accelerator is a program designed for employees of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, aimed at supporting the commercialization of research outcomes.

Dr. Jacek Marczak and his team JMJ Co-Mat, composed of Michał Piłkowski, MSc Eng., and Joanna Wicińska, PhD Eng., won the hearts of the audience and impressed the jury evaluating projects submitted to the new Łukasiewicz Research Network program.

Their project, titled “Functional hydrophobic coatings with reduced ice adhesion for use in passive anti-icing systems”, was selected among the top five start-up concepts within the Łukasiewicz Network.

In the first stage, submitted projects were evaluated by a selection committee consisting of start-up development and entrepreneurship advisors, Łukasiewicz Research Group representatives, and Łukasiewicz Center staff.

Authors of the selected proposals took part in a two-week intensive workshop camp designed to build their business and commercialization competencies.

A total of 14 teams presented their innovative projects in the final stage.

The remaining laureates were:

  • Thaliana SpaceŁukasiewicz – ILOT

  • UltarŁukasiewicz – ILiM

  • SpinelŁukasiewicz – ICiMB

  • OriolisŁukasiewicz – IMN
