Third WIB Call: Expert Recruitment Opens

Łukasiewicz – PORT invites experts in the field of medical biotechnology to cooperate within the WIB program. Recruitment has opened for an international panel that will carry out the substantive evaluation of applications submitted in the third call of the Virtual Research Institute (WIB).

On 04/08/2023, a supplementary call for experts in two areas related to medical biotechnology was launched. Their task will be to evaluate research projects in terms of scientific value and socio-economic impact (including commercialization potential). Experts will also be responsible for periodic scientific evaluation of ongoing research tasks and their final assessment. Expert recruitment is open from 04/08/2023 to 30/09/2023.

The third WIB call was announced on 10/07/2023. In the first two calls, research teams specializing in medical biotechnology with applications in oncology were eligible to apply for funding. In the third call, this scope has been expanded, enabling scientists representing all areas of medical biotechnology with therapeutic applications to submit proposals.

The total funding pool available to research teams conducting studies in the field of medical biotechnology exceeds PLN 380 million. Funds awarded under the call are intended to finance scientific research teams as well as the commercialization of their research results or related know-how. The program offers the possibility of financing up to 100% of the costs of research activities and provides team members and their institutions with significant shares in future profits from the commercialization of research outcomes.

We invite you to participate in a program that supports the best Polish scientists conducting research on new therapeutic methods!

The full announcement, together with detailed documentation, the regulations, and the model agreement, is available on the WIB website.

Łukasiewicz – PORT acts as the Managing Entity of the WIB program and the organizer of the call.
