September and October at Łukasiewicz – PORT will be marked by international scientific conferences. The Wrocław-based Institute invites participants to three events—one dedicated to neuroscience and two focused on bioinformatics.
As every year, Łukasiewicz – PORT invites the scientific community to conferences that offer not only the opportunity to attend lectures by international experts, but also to meet, discuss, and establish cooperation between research institutions and industry.
PORT for Health: Neuroscience 2023 / 04/09/2023–06/09/2023
The PORT for Health: Neuroscience 2023 conference is the third edition of the PORT for Health series—annual meetings organized by the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Center at our Institute. For the second time, the conference will be dedicated to brain diseases. It will take place on 04/09/2023–06/09/2023 and will be held in a hybrid format (on-site and online participation available).
The program has been designed around tools that enable a better understanding of brain diseases. Participants will be able to attend over 20 lectures presenting the latest research results and achievements in the use of cellular and animal models, as well as computational methods applied in studies on neuropsychiatry, neurodegeneration, and neurometabolic disorders. Presentations will be delivered by outstanding experts from leading research institutions in Europe and the United States.
The PORT for Health: Neuroscience 2023
conference will be held as part of the SAME-NeuroID project funded by the Horizon Europe program. More information about the event is available online. Registration is now open.
IB 2023 / 06/09/2023–08/09/2023
Topics related to computational methods in neuroscience will provide an excellent introduction to the event beginning on 06/09/2023, with a joint session held together with the PORT for Health: Neuroscience conference. The 17th International Symposium on Integrative Bioinformatics (IB 2023) addresses issues at the intersection of computer science and life sciences, such as biomedical data mining, computational synthetic and systems biology, as well as data and biological visualization.
The International Symposium on Integrative
Bioinformatics (ISBRA) is a recurring international event. This year, it will be held at Łukasiewicz – PORT in Wrocław on 06/09/2023–08/09/2023. Previous editions took place in cities such as Paris (France), Cambridge (United Kingdom), Ghent (Belgium), Newcastle (USA), and Hangzhou (China). More information about IB 2023 is available online. The conference will be held on-site. Registration is ongoing.
ISBRA 2023 / 09/10/2023–12/10/2023
At the beginning of October, bioinformatics will once again take center stage at Łukasiewicz – PORT with the 19th International Symposium on Bioinformatics and Applications – ISBRA 2023, held on 09/10/2023–12/10/2023. For nearly 20 years, this conference has served as an international forum for the exchange of ideas and research results among scientists, programmers, and practitioners working in all areas of bioinformatics and computational biology and their applications. The meeting provides excellent conditions for presenting and discussing innovative methods, tools, and techniques that contribute to a better understanding and analysis of biological data. The conference will be held in a hybrid format, with lectures streamed online. More information about ISBRA 2023 is available online. Participant registration will open at the beginning of July.
All events will be conducted in English.
We invite you to participate!
