Institute Council
Through regular meetings and active engagement, the Institute Council serves as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience, supporting strategic decision-making and identifying the most important directions of development. The Council reviews research plans, helps build partnerships with the business and academic communities, and ensures high standards of management and transparency, strengthening Łukasiewicz – PORT’s position as a leading science and technology center in Poland.

Expert in biological and chemical engineering, recipient of the 2017 Göran Gustafsson Prize in Chemistry awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. She has worked at multiple international universities, bringing her global experience to support the growth of Łukasiewicz – PORT.
Prof. Adam Maciejczyk

Oncologist and specialist in radiation oncology. Director of the Lower Silesian Oncology, Pulmonology and Hematology Center, President of the National Association of Public Oncology Centers and Institutes, Head of the Department of Radiotherapy at Wrocław Medical University, and Regional Consultant in radiation oncology for Lower Silesia. Member of ESTRO (European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology) and PROS (Pediatric Radiation Oncology Society).

Director of the Biosafety Center and Operations Director of the BSL-3 laboratory at the Institute for Infectious Diseases, University of Bern, Switzerland. Longstanding member of the European and American Biosafety Associations, the International Veterinary Biosafety Working Group, and the Board of the Swiss Biosafety Network.
Chair of the WHO Technical Advisory Board for Biosafety and member of the WHO Scientific Advisory Group on the Origins of Novel Pathogens (SAGO). Director of the WHO Collaborating Center for Biosafety.

Head of the Clinical Research Program Breast Cancer Now at King’s College London, Deputy Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute, Associate Professor (Reader) in Medical Oncology at King’s College London, and Consultant Medical Oncologist at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ NHS Trust. Represents King’s College London in collaboration with Łukasiewicz – PORT under the Teaming for Excellence and MAB programs.
Recognized worldwide for her expertise in breast cancer treatment, patient recruitment for clinical trials, and role as principal investigator at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ NHS Trust.

dr Martin Strassburg
Representative of the business community, appointed December 4, 2024
Experimental physicist responsible for innovation and technology cooperation at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors GmbH. Has coordinated international and national projects as technical director and work package leader.
Since 2014, he has led innovation and collaborative initiatives at OSRAM, contributing valuable expertise in technological innovation to Łukasiewicz – PORT.
dr Stanisław Rogoziński

Experienced manager in venture capital and commercialization. Currently Managing Partner at Satus Starter VC, previously with Brante Partners. Former consultant for the World Bank and investment manager in two seed funds. Holds degrees in law, economics, and business management from the University of Wrocław and Wrocław University of Economics, where he also completed doctoral studies.
Co-creator and lecturer of Poland’s first postgraduate program dedicated to startups – Startup Excellence. Graduate of the prestigious VC Lab accelerator for venture capital fund managers.

Cezary Przybylski
Representative distinguished by professional achievements, appointed December 4, 2024
Longstanding public servant and local government leader. Former councilor and executive board member in Warta Bolesławiecka, chairman of the Education Committee of the Association of Polish Counties, and active member of the Joint Government and Local Government Committee.
Served as Bolesławiec District Governor and later as Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (2014–2024), supporting regional and economic development in Lower Silesia.
Jakub Mazur

Graduate of Wrocław University of Economics and the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law. Brings 25 years of business experience in IT, urban planning, energy, marketing, foreign investments, and B2B relations. Since 2018, Deputy Mayor of Wrocław, overseeing the Department of Strategy and Sustainable Development and key city projects.
Represents Wrocław in national and international organizations, shaping the city’s development strategy through 2050. Since 2021, President of METREX – the Network of European Metropolitan Regions and Areas and Co-Chair of the Joint Government and Local Government Commission on municipalities and metropolitan areas.
Justyna Młynarz

Manager with extensive experience in international cooperation and economic development. Head of the regional office of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Poland) in Wrocław, where she oversees organizational management and growth. Supports companies in business events and strengthens cooperation between Polish and German partners. Graduate of the University of Wrocław.

dr Krzysztof Czyż
Institute employee representative, appointed December 4, 2023
PhD in Optoelectronics from the Military University of Technology. Joined Łukasiewicz – PORT in 2019, initially in the Laser Micromachining Lab, later in the Materials Technology Lab (Tech-Lab), where he now serves as Head of Lab. Responsible for laser micromachining services and Clean Room processes. Active participant in both research and commercial projects, his expertise significantly contributes to the institute’s development.
