Biobanking

Biobank Łukasiewicz – PORT is the National Leading Centre in the scope of biobanking. It is one of the largest biobanks in Poland, storing over 170,000 samples from almost 9,000 patients.

The leader of the project aims to create the Polish Biobank Network. It acts as a national node in the European Network of Biobanking and Molecular Resources Research Infrastructure BBMRI-ERIC EU Countries.

We offer:

• collection and storage of biological material for research purposes,
• providing samples of biological material for biomedical research,
• consulting research projects involving the collection of human biological material,
• assistance in the preparation of applications to bioethics committees and correct project documentation.
