TWO YEARS OF ŁUKASIEWICZ

This April, two years have passed since the establishment of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – the third-largest research network in Europe. We invite you to participate in a videoconference summarizing its activities and achievements to date. It will start on Monday, May 17 at noon.

The Łukasiewicz Research Network came into being on April 1, 2019. For security reasons, in the conditions of the ongoing pandemic, the celebrations are transferred to the virtual world. Its most important point is the videoconference, which will take place on Monday, May 17 at noon. Jarosław Gowin, Ph.D., Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development, Labor and Technology, Wojciech Murdzek, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Education and Science, Piotr Dardziński, Ph.D., President of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, and many other distinguished guests will take part in this meeting.

The conference will include a debate on How to use the research potential of the Łukasiewicz Institutes to build an innovative economy. Among the guests will be Andrzej Dybczyński, Ph.D., director of Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development.

A videoconference is an event open to the public. The broadcast will be available on the website of the Łukasiewicz Research Network.

The Łukasiewicz Research Network is a unique initiative on a national scale. It aims to build a bridge between science and economy. Its potential is created by over 30 scientific and research institutes from all over Poland, employing 4.5 thousand scientists and engineers. They work in 440 modern laboratories equipped with the highest class apparatus.

Operating in the “Science is Business” formula, the Łukasiewicz Network supports Polish entrepreneurs by providing them with attractive and competitive technological solutions. This assumption is implemented, among others, in the framework of the ‘throwing challenges’ system. In just 15 working days, network experts analyze for free the tasks submitted by entrepreneurs, engaging scientists from various institutes in this process, and then present an idea for solving a technological problem and developing an effective implementation strategy. The measure of Łukasiewicz’s success is the growing number of companies interested in cooperation with science. Almost two hundred companies benefited from Łukasiewicz’s Challenges from the beginning of the program launch until the end of March 2021.
